I stand here looking through the
stained glass wall
I gaze and I wonder
what the world has to offer
A girl like me that wants
to be totally free
Let us all open our eyes to
see whats behind
the stain glassed wall
Let us take a walk
and talk
of a day when we could stand still
and look at the world around us
In such peace and love where all waits to be explored
Trees are not just trees
but worlds of their own
just ready to be explored
let us pour our lives into the divine
spirit of the soul
where energy awaits us
all to come up again
Let us not be filled with dirt and pain
with hearts filled with such stain
but let us open or eyes to the people
of the world in such mess and misery
let us reach out
and love beyond all measure
let our eyes not be weighted
in such disarray
but come up to see true life and wonder
where we can extend our hand to all
helping them when they are about to fall
Let us get out of our comfort
and reach beyond all reason of the stain glassed wall

God Transforms Those That Are Broken Into Wonders of Love
Often times when we are just beginning to know the Lord we wonder what is my part to play? We often think of ourselves and our time and our money because we are raised to think selfishly I myself fell into this trap. I was so broken from years of abuse and trauma that I felt that I had all the problems and everyone had to take care of me. I never realized that Jesus would be the one to take all of those scars and transform them into stars.
But, Jesus has done just that. He has given me hope when there was no reason to hope. I hated God for years wondered if there was a loving God why he allowed people to get hurt, especially me! And if there was a loving God why was he not helping me?
Thats just it though. That is our part to play. We are Christ among the world. To help those that are seeking and asking "If Jesus is real why isnt he around?" Well he is, in us. He heals us so that we can love others more then we ever could. In fact it shocks me today where God has taken me. From a girl that was so broken that she thought love didnt exist I now see that both love and God exist and that the two coexist and are one. God is love! He loves us more then we dare or even dream. Give him a chance and you will see your life transform and become clear. If he can change my broken mess he can sure change yours! I hope that you will see Gods love more each day. I myself want to see more of who our Lord really is, not the way the world has made him to be. For we have a loving god a personal god and one that is always there for us. He never judges but only wants the best for us. Please think about inviting him into your life and let him transform you into the woman or man deep down that you want to be. You are all so very loved and I hope that your summer is blessed beyond all measure! Think big and you will recieve more then you even dream! I know I will!

The Wonders of Gods Art in Nature
It is like I woke up from a dream. I stand at the bus stop and I notice the people coming towards me. In the past when people passed me I never noticed or cared what were actually twenty people in the past seemed like five. But a couple of months ago it seemed like thousands; people of all different size, shape, and color. On one certain day a couple of months ago as I was walking to the bus stop I noticed the intricate details of the trees, the unusual style of bark on the post next to me and the bricks and the weeds growing on houses in a unique crisscross styled way. I notice and I take not but it is more than that I admire. I love the way the bricks are laid and the horrible but also beautiful way the fences are lined. We categorize people, things,and places too much. Instead of taking time to really listen to our surroundings we grumble we complain and we at least I admittedly think we know it all. But, what creative design awaits us all to discover. Even the smallest most trivial events come alive in Christ in the Spirit of God. What a wonderful creator we all serve what a glorious life we are able to live when we open our eyes to what is around us. Let us open our eyes together to what God is trying to show us today.
The Soulful Woman
In the crowd a woman is sitting
Left all alone listening to the soulful music
She feels what they are playing
The sound of freedom
She feels overwhelmed
THe love of the music affecting her entire soul
Inside and out the music pulses through her
She starts to move to the beat of the drum
Suddenly all of her worries escape her
She is no longer alone but a part of something
Part of the African rhythms of the past
She begins to move her body
It starts with the feet and then her hands
She dances smoothly with the music
People stare but she does not care
For she is feeling the music with her heart
She begins to remember
All the good things in her life
She no longer feels the pain she came with
Instead, she feels like a confident and radient beauty
The enrgy from the band moves through her body
The leading trombonist wailing its heart out
Making her feel like she could do anything
She walks away from the nightclub feeling refreshed
Bringing the music with her to bed
To dream about being in the band of soul
Rising up to God in His Heavenly music

Patience
Patience is putting the other person's needs first. Listening to a friend more important than being heard. God says those that are the first here are the last in the Kingdom of Heaven and those that are the last are first in the Kingdom of Heaven. When we are more concerened about others and their placement in the "assembly line" then God raises us up. The part of their conversation, their needs, their time, etc...but we should not worry or mark it against who we are if we forget. The important thing is to try to listen, try to make time, and try to put their needs ahead of your own. When you listen you are captivating. It is not what you say but how you listen that determines if you are a good friend. People need people to listen. I would want others to listen to me therefore I need to listen to others, give them their chance to speak and I and you will find a life worth living. Their is enjoyment out of listening that you do not get from speaking. A conversation is better than a rant and two beautiful ears than a mouth. For listening determines if you are in the moment, and the moment that is fully lived will come out wonderful and rememberable.
A lesson disguised in the most unusual place :)
Sometimes we learn about the Lord and his will for our lives in the strangest most unexpected places. Lately I have been running and I never would have thought what the Lord would use with running alone but I have learned so much from it. I learned that when you feel like giving up to keep going and that your mind says where you can stop but your sould presses on beyond that point. You can keep going even when you feel the most tired, when you feel the most oppressed, and life seems to be taking control not you and definitely not the Holy Spirit. Every time I have this verse comes to mind where Paul says Hebrews 12:1
Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin whcich so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.
On our way to our heavenly father there are going to be many obstacles and distractions but we if we follow Him will endure all things. We may have to repent more then we would like to get those weights off of us, but we will triumph in the end, and God doesn't expect perfection just effort and completion.
Also when I was walking today after my run the Lord spoke to me that if I continued to look down while I walked I would not be able to see the Light. Often times the enemy tries to focus on our problems and not our Lord, thus we can not see the true beauty of life around us. We have to trust that there are no potholes along the way that we can fall into if we fear that and continue to look down we will never see what is up. It is better to keep looking up and fall once in awhile then continue to look down and never fall.
